Evolution and EthicsThis small book with French flaps and a deckled edge is a reprint of a 19th-century treatise on evolution. Huxley (known as Darwin’s bulldog) was a contemporary of Ernst Haeckel, the illustrator that I used for the cover. Haeckel was actively involved in the debate over evolution so he was a perfect aesthetic and intellectual choice for this project. This project won an award at the AAUP book show in 2010.
